Eurovoc is a multilingual thesaurus of the European Parliament containing more than 7,000 descriptors referring to various activities of the EU and its Member States. It has also been used as a means of indexing documents in documentation systems of EU institutions, e.g. in web legislative databases, such as EUR-Lex or Celex. In Slovenia, it has served as a basis for the code list of the Government's EU-portal.

On the EU web pages, Eurovoc is available in 23 official languages of the European Union and in Croatian and Serbian. The Slovene version of descriptors was prepared in cooperation with the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia, the Government Office for European Affairs, and the Government Office for Legislation. The National Assembly holds a licence for the use of Eurovoc thesaurus for the entire public administration in the Republic of Slovenia. The Slovenian developer of language technology software and electronic publishing, Amebis d.o.o., included the Eurovoc database in their product called “Bookshelf” (Knjižna polica), electronic reference works (ASP32) used by Slovenian civil servants in their daily work.
