Curriculum Vitae

Ambassador Nataša Prah joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1995, after graduating in international law from the University of Maribor, Slovenia.

In 2000, she took up the position of the Head of Public Relations Department. As a member of the Minister's office, she was responsible for the governmental campaign on the referendum for Slovenia's EU and NATO membership. Following the successful completion of both projects in 2004, Ms Prah focused on the relations with Eastern Europe and Central Asia. In 2008, she was appointed political advisor to Slovenian EU Presidency at the Embassy in Kyiv, and later Head of Department for Eastern Europe and Central Asia at the Foreign Ministry (2009–2010). Ms Prah returned to Kyiv in 2010 as chargée d’affaires (2010–2014) and continued as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Slovenia to Ukraine, Armenia, Moldova and Georgia (2014–2018).

After the completion of her mission in Kyiv in August 2018, Ambassador Prah was appointed Head of Department for Public Diplomacy and International Cooperation in Culture. On 3 January 2019, she took up the position of the Head of Diplomatic Protocol at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
