The Consular Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs protects the interests of the Republic of Slovenia, its citizens and legal entities abroad. On the Web site under the heading "Consular services" you can find advice, recommendations and information to facilitate your stays abroad (suggestions on what to do before you go, recommendations regarding your stay abroad, forms of consular assistance, up-to-date information, FAQs and other important links).
Under the heading "Embassies, Diplomatic Missions and Consulates General" you can find the addresses of embassies of the Republic of Slovenia, which you can contact in case you need consular assistance abroad or data on the safety of travel.
Did you know that? (pdf, 351 kb) is a brochure on European consular assistance in the English language, where you can find information on consular protection to which EU citizens are entitled (in compliance with Article 20 of the Treaty establishing the European Community). The brochure is available in all EU official languages under the heading "Links - Council Secretariat".

Travellers can voluntarily fill in the online form Form: Information on my travel abroad (available in slovene language only, doc 51 kb or pdf 56 kB). The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia advises you to fill in the form and send it to the Consular Division to facilitate the potential implementation of consular protection, especially when travelling to third countries which pose greater safety risks.
